INSTEAD OF WALKING WE WANT OUR STUDENTS STUDYING

St. Paul School campus is growing! Today we support over 260 students from nursery to fifth grade.  Our goal in the next two years is to add four classrooms for grades 6 and 7 to complete primary education for our students.

Today the most pressing need is another school bus for the transportation of our younger students. Many pupils are forced to walk – even a distance of 2 miles for many students – during the morning and in the afternoon returning home.

Some parents hire motorcycle drivers to transport their small children to and from school.  Other parents with less income hire bicycles to bring their children to school.

This arrangement is not safe for small children and even Tanzanian law does not allow such kind of transport because it endangers the lives of children.  Accidents have caused casualties of many children.  Some pupils are allergic to dust and some suffer flu fever.  This unnecessary situation frustrates the pupils as well as their parents.

Parents are pooling funds to contribute to this important project.  We ask our Friends of Musoma to join us with contributions to help us purchase a second bus. Your generously will indeed be blessed. Asante!

This bus (above) can be purchased for the students with the combined donations of their parents, parishioners, and our Friends of Musoma donors like YOU!
