Bricks for scholarships

Father Robert has launched revenue generating ventures like brick making with Friends of Musoma as a source of capital for providing scholarships to students who qualify for financial help.

More about this project

All you need is a brick making machine and cement and ingredients to make high quality, solid bricks for building our classrooms and bricks to sell to the local community for home construction.

At the end of the process a “St. Paul School” imprint is added to each brick.

Father Robert tells us ... we can't make them fast enough!  Bricks are sold for 50 cents per brick. Our cost of production is 35 cents so we are able to make a nice profit for student scholarships.

Much of the reason for the continued growth and success of this project is that local people are aware of corruption associated with other brick making businesses in and around Musoma.

Having a source of bricks properly made by a trusted entity like the founders of St. Paul School and the Diocese of Musoma is a preferred business partner for many of the local Musoma people.

The demand for our bricks is growing so fast that we need to buy a second brick making machine for $2,500! We can make lots of bricks to sell with a $100 donation.
